Best restaurants in São Paulo 2026: 14 tables worth booking
Tuju and Evvai, Brazil's first three-star restaurants, lead a list that runs from D.O.M. and Nelita to Bib Gourmand counters, Mocotó in the north zone and a bar in the Copan building.

The best restaurants in São Paulo in 2026 are these 14 tables, chosen from the latest MICHELIN Guide and Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants and balanced between tasting menus and places where the city eats every week. If you book only one, make it Tuju or Evvai, the first two restaurants in Brazil and in Latin America to hold three Michelin stars.
The MICHELIN Guide Rio de Janeiro & São Paulo 2026, presented at the Copacabana Palace on 13 April 2026, gave three stars to Tuju and Evvai, kept D.O.M. at two and listed 14 one-star restaurants in São Paulo, from Maní to a run of Japanese counters. The most recent Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants list, announced in Antigua Guatemala on 2 December 2025, placed Tuju 8th, Nelita 12th, Evvai 20th and A Casa do Porco 25th.
This list of the best restaurants in São Paulo takes the top of both rankings and adds Bib Gourmand tables, a Mexican kitchen, a yakitori bar and two addresses that define the city's everyday cooking. For the dishes themselves, from the mortadella sandwich to virado à paulista, start with our guide to what to eat in São Paulo. Where a restaurant does not publish prices, we give the Michelin price band, from one to four symbols.
São Paulo now has Latin America's first three-star kitchens, and the depth below them matters as much.
Tuju, Jardim Paulistano: first of the best restaurants in São Paulo
Ivan Ralston's Tuju occupies a three-storey building on Rua Frei Galvão: snacks, cellar and an inner garden on the ground floor, an open kitchen on the first and a bar at the top. It won its third Michelin star in April 2026, also holds a Michelin Green Star, and ranked 8th in Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants 2025.
The tasting menu follows the seasons and changes through the year. Ralston told Bloomberg Línea it costs R$1,450 per person, and that wine pairing takes the bill close to R$3,500. Book online well ahead.
Evvai, Pinheiros
Luiz Filipe Souza cooks Italian technique with Brazilian ingredients in Pinheiros, and each course arrives with an illustration drawn by the chef. Evvai won its third Michelin star in 2026, ranked 20th in Latin America's 50 Best 2025, and its pastry chef Bianca Mirabili was named Latin America's Best Pastry Chef that year.
The house serves only tasting menus. The current Oriundi menu, of 14 courses, costs R$1,150 per person before drinks, according to Bloomberg Línea.
D.O.M., Jardins
Alex Atala's restaurant on Rua Barão de Capanema made Amazonian ingredients a fixture of fine dining and remains São Paulo's only two-star kitchen in the 2026 guide. Its bar, run by Anderson Oliveira, received Michelin's Exceptional Cocktail Award at the same ceremony.
Bloomberg Línea reported the current tasting menu, which runs from ants to caiman, at R$1,100 per person without drinks and R$1,850 with wine pairing.
Nelita, Pinheiros
Tássia Magalhães cooks Italian-leaning food at Rua Ferreira de Araújo 330, in lower Pinheiros, and Nelita ranked 12th in Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants 2025, second among São Paulo restaurants after Tuju. Michelin includes it in its selection, in its third price band of four.
There are three formats: à la carte, a six-course menu and an 11-course tasting menu at R$790, according to Bloomberg Línea, with an average bill of R$490 to R$550. Reservations go through Tock.
Maní, Jardim Paulistano
Helena Rizzo's restaurant on Rua Joaquim Antunes keeps its Michelin star in 2026 and placed 67th in the extended 51-100 list of Latin America's 50 Best 2025. Michelin describes its cooking as contemporary Brazilian, and Rizzo's restaurant has been named the best in the city by Folha de S.Paulo nine times.
In September 2025, Band reported the full tasting menu at R$695 and the three-course menu at R$365, or R$285 in its vegetarian version.
A Casa do Porco, República
Jefferson Rueda raises Brazilian pig breeds and cooks the whole animal at Rua Araújo 124, in the old centre. A Casa do Porco holds a Bib Gourmand and a Michelin Green Star in 2026 and ranked 25th in Latin America's 50 Best 2025.
The eight-course Interior menu was launched at R$290 per person; Michelin places the restaurant in its second price band. It opens every day from noon, and tables are kept for walk-ins: leave your name with the host early.
Kinoshita, Vila Nova Conceição
Kinoshita, at Rua Jacques Félix 405 near Ibirapuera Park, holds one Michelin star for kappo cooking, the Japanese counter tradition of cutting and cooking in front of the guest. Michelin recommends the omakase over the large à la carte, and singles out the squid with sea urchin.
It sits in Michelin's top price band and does not publish menu prices. It is closed on Sundays; book by phone.
Jun Sakamoto, Pinheiros
Jun Sakamoto's sushi bar at Rua Lisboa 55 keeps its Michelin star in 2026. There are two omakase menus; at the counter, each nigiri is served as it is made, from bluefin tuna to red snapper with pickled plum and shiso.
Michelin puts it in its top price band and notes that the price changes depending on whether Sakamoto or his right-hand chef, Ryuzo Nishimura, prepares the menu. Dinner only, Monday to Saturday.
Metzi, Pinheiros
Eduardo Ortiz and Luana Sabino cook Mexican food with Brazilian produce at Rua João Moura 861. Metzi placed 56th in the extended list of Latin America's 50 Best 2025.
Its new nine-course tasting menu costs R$600, according to Seu Dinheiro; there is no à la carte. Dinner Tuesday to Saturday, booked through GetIn.
Kotori, Pinheiros
Thiago Bañares opened Kotori as a yakitori bar at Rua Cônego Eugênio Leite 639 and has turned it into a more ambitious Japanese-Brazilian kitchen built around chicken skewers. It holds a Bib Gourmand and placed 55th in the extended list of Latin America's 50 Best 2025.
Michelin puts it in its second price band.
Cepa, Pinheiros
Lucas Dante cooks contemporary, market-driven food at Praça dos Omaguás 110, with smoking, ageing and fermentation, while Gabrielli Fleming runs the room and the wine. Cepa holds a Bib Gourmand and entered Latin America's 50 Best extended list at 73rd in 2025.
Michelin puts it in its second price band; the 50 Best Discovery platform gives an average spend of R$254 per person. Book by phone or through the restaurant's Instagram.
Corrutela, Vila Madalena
Near Beco do Batman, at Rua Medeiros de Albuquerque 256, César Costa's Corrutela grinds its own corn for polenta, composts its waste, runs on solar power and buys organic produce from local farmers. It holds a Bib Gourmand and a Michelin Green Star.
Michelin puts it in its second price band. It is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, serves lunch and dinner Wednesday to Saturday and lunch on Sunday.
Mocotó, Vila Medeiros
In the north zone, at Avenida Nossa Senhora do Loreto 1100, Rodrigo Oliveira runs the restaurant his father founded more than 50 years ago, with the food of Brazil's north-east: tapioca cubes, carne de sol grilled over charcoal with clarified butter, and a vegan sertaneja moqueca.
It holds a Bib Gourmand and sits in Michelin's lowest price band, which makes it the best-value table on this list. It opens every day from noon.
Bar da Dona Onça, República
On the ground floor of the Copan building, at Avenida Ipiranga 200, Janaína Torres, named The World's Best Female Chef by 50 Best in 2024, serves the Brazilian classics of the old centre: stews, pasta, fish and a picadinho with rice, fried egg and banana. Michelin added it to its selection in 2026.
Michelin places it in its second price band. It opens every day from noon. For the bigger picture of the country's coffee trade, read how Brazil's coffee exports to the US nearly doubled in September.

How we chose
We started from the MICHELIN Guide Rio de Janeiro & São Paulo 2026 and the most recent Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants list, then added Bib Gourmand tables and everyday addresses so that the best restaurants in São Paulo are covered at every price. Where sources disagreed on a distinction, as with Huto's star, we left the restaurant out.
Every address, distinction and price was checked on 31 October 2026 against the MICHELIN Guide, 50 Best, the restaurants' own channels and Brazilian press. Prices quoted from the press can change; confirm when you book.
