Wolseley opens its first members' club in New York
Minor Hotels is building the brasserie brand's first private club into a 1905 Theatre District clubhouse, alongside its first Wolseley hotel.

Minor Hotels will open the first Wolseley Members' Club in New York, inside the new 77-room Wolseley Hotel New York, in the first half of 2027.
The club takes over a former clubhouse at 130 West 44th Street, in Manhattan's Theatre District, built in 1905 for the Lambs Club, America's first professional theatrical club. Minor International, the Thai hospitality group behind Wolseley Hospitality Group, confirmed the opening on 6 October.
Members get lounges, dining rooms, private salons and terraces for all-day use, a cellar-level speakeasy bar and a wellness centre built around what the company calls longevity programming. The club adds literary salons, hosted dinners and social gatherings on top of the hotel's own restaurant and bar.
We wanted to create an all-day social living room for people whose lives move effortlessly between Uptown and Downtown.
Group chief executive Dillip Rajakarier pitched the project as a transatlantic address rather than a straight copy of the London original. "We wanted to create an all-day social living room for people whose lives move effortlessly between Uptown and Downtown," he said.
No membership price or capacity has been disclosed, and Minor has not said how admission will be managed before the 2027 opening.
A club built inside a 1905 clubhouse
The Lambs Club building keeps its theatrical pedigree under new ownership. Its ground floor and upper rooms were built for playwrights, producers and actors to meet, eat and perform under one roof, a format Minor is using as the template for the members' spaces too.
The hotel wrapped around it is Wolseley's first anywhere, a shift for a brand that has stuck to all-day dining rooms since restaurateurs Chris Corbin and Jeremy King opened the original Wolseley on London's Piccadilly in 2003, in a former Bentley car showroom.
Minor's wider New York push
The club lands as Minor pursues other heritage addresses in its portfolio. The group is separately reopening Dukes London for the second quarter of 2027, pairing a historic London relaunch with its first Wolseley outpost in the US.
New York's private members' club market has drawn a wave of international entrants in recent years, from large-scale groups to smaller single-site concepts aimed at a similar between-two-cities crowd. Wolseley's version leans on the brasserie's reputation for an unhurried, all-day room rather than a nightlife offer.
The club opens alongside the hotel in the first half of 2027, with membership pricing still to come.
