Corpinnat reaches 24 wineries with Fèlix Massana Ràfols
The Penedès sparkling-wine brand has admitted a family estate in Sant Pau d'Ordal that makes 15,000 to 20,000 bottles a year, after two years of audits. It is the fifth entry of 2026.

Corpinnat, the Penedès sparkling-wine brand whose founders broke with DO Cava, has admitted Fèlix Massana Ràfols, a family winery in Sant Pau d'Ordal that makes 15,000 to 20,000 bottles a year. The entry takes the collective to 24 members.
The brand announced it on 5 October; its general assembly had approved the application on 28 September. Fèlix Massana and Cristina Castillo opened the winery in 2001 in Sant Pau d'Ordal, a village in the municipality of Subirats, and run it with their daughters Marta and Júlia. The Massana family has grown grapes there for four generations.
El Nacional puts the estate at just over 18 hectares, farmed organically; Corpinnat describes limestone soils ringed by woodland and some vines more than 30 years old. The couple told the Catalan daily ARA that output moves between 15,000 and 20,000 bottles depending on the year, sold in the Penedès, Japan, the Netherlands and Barcelona, the city covered in our guide to what to eat in Barcelona.
A brand that makes a winery give up a wine before letting it in is selling rules, not volume.
What Corpinnat asks of a winery
The rulebook is short and expensive to follow: 100% organic grapes, picked by hand, vinified entirely on the winery's own premises and aged for a long time, a minimum of 18 months according to ARA. Bureau Veritas audited the newcomer, checking three years of organic viticulture and the production process, with sensory audits and tastings of the base wines. The couple told ARA the process took two years.
Membership has a price. The brand builds on macabeu, xarel·lo and parellada and excludes pinot noir, so the winery has stopped making the rosé it produced with that grape, ARA reports. The family left the Covides cooperative in 2012 to farm organically, has made sparkling wine for sixteen years and now moves from DO Cava to Corpinnat. Massana told the paper that the grape prices paid by DO Cava wineries this summer were below cost.
Five new members in one year
Corpinnat dates its founding to 10 April 2018, and its wineries left DO Cava in 2019. It ended 2025 with 19 members, Eix Diari notes; the five admitted since include Juvé & Camps, with 252 hectares of estate vineyard, and Mas Vilella, which entered in June.
The brand closed 2025 with revenue of 34 million euros, up 27%, and 3 million bottles sold, up 34%, with 79% of sales in Catalonia and the rest of Spain, according to El Nacional. ARA now puts the combined output of the 24 wineries at six million bottles.
On ARA's figures, the 24th member adds at most a third of one percent to the collective's volume. Corpinnat is counting something other than bottles.
