Waldorf Hilton names Greg Crawford as general manager
The London hotel's new general manager arrives after 11 years running Hilton's Syon Park property, part of a reshuffle that also promotes his predecessor to oversee three other London hotels.
The Waldorf Hilton, London has named Greg Crawford as its new general manager, moving him over from Hilton London Syon Park, where he spent 11 years as area general manager. The appointment was announced on September 25.
Crawford brings more than 33 years in hospitality to the Aldwych property. "We're delighted to introduce Greg Crawford, who has joined the Waldorf Hilton, London as our new general manager," the company said in a statement. "With more than 33 years of hospitality experience, Greg brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership expertise."
A career built on a first for Hilton

Crawford's résumé includes opening Cambridge's DoubleTree in 2008, the first DoubleTree by Hilton property outside the United States — a launch that predates the brand's now-global footprint. He went on to hold area general manager responsibility across eight Hilton properties before settling into more than a decade running Syon Park.
Who moves where
He succeeds Guy Hilton, who is being promoted to area general manager overseeing Hilton Hyde Park and the Hart Shoreditch Hotel London, a Curio Collection property, among others. The reshuffle keeps both hotels within the same management structure rather than bringing in an outside hire for either post.
The move lands the same week as other London hotel kitchen changes, including the Cumberland's appointment of two new head chefs — a reminder that September reshuffles in London hospitality are rarely confined to a single property or a single department.
The change lands on a property already drawing outside attention beyond its executive suite: the hotel's food and beverage manager, Zoë Wesson, won a 2026 Acorn Award and is shortlisted for the Cateys' Food & Beverage Manager of the Year, recognition that predates Crawford's arrival but now falls under his watch.
Hilton has not said whether Crawford will keep any of Syon Park's programmes running in parallel, or hand that property to a successor of his own in the coming months.
