Premios Nacionales de Hostelería 2026: the 18 winners in Spain

Trade body Hostelería de España has named the winners of its 20th national hospitality awards. The gala is on 18 November in Segovia, and two of the prizes stay in the host city.

The Premios Nacionales de Hostelería, Spain's national hospitality awards, have their 2026 winners: the trade body Hostelería de España published 18 names on 6 October. The prizes will be handed over on 18 November in Segovia.

This is the 20th edition. Hostelería de España, the employers' organisation that represents more than 300,000 hospitality businesses, runs it this year with HOTUSE, the Segovia association of accommodation, hospitality and tourism businesses. The awards travel: provincial associations bid, the national executive committee chooses, and Segovia was picked in April after Castellón hosted the 2025 gala on 4 November. The Tarragona outlet La Ciutat places the ceremony at the Teatro Juan Bravo.

Who won the Premios Nacionales de Hostelería

Eighteen prizes, two for the host city, and no word on who sat on the jury.

The restaurateur award goes to Alberto Cándido López Duque of Mesón de Cándido in Segovia, who joined the family business at twelve; the house is now in its fifth generation. Hospitality company of the year is Proyectos y Servicios Gastronómicos, the Bilbao group behind Víctor Montes, La Olla and El Globo. The chef-owner prize goes to Joan Bosch of Can Bosch in Cambrils, Tarragona, which has held a Michelin star since 1984, and the front-of-house prize to Javier Gil Jarén, restaurant director at Gaytán in Madrid.

Five prizes reward a company for one commitment. Social responsibility: La Famiglia se sienta a la mesa, the Zaragoza group with more than 115 restaurants in Spain, Portugal and Andorra. Disability inclusion: Catering En Esencia of Almería, where 13 of the 20 employees have a disability and the kitchens produce about 1,200 meals a day. Innovation: Atenea Sky Club, on the eighth floor of Valencia's Ateneo Mercantil. Promotion of Spanish culture and gastronomy: Restaurante Las Tinajas in Granada, open since 1971. Sustainability: Vidocq, in Formigal, Huesca, credited with 36 measures on energy, packaging and purchasing.

The international prize, called Aquí España, goes to Hispania-N Catering & Restaurant in London. The Concordia José Luis Fernández Noriega award goes to José Gómez of the ham producer Joselito, and the prize for contribution to the sector to Mariano Nicolás Hernández, founder of El Churra in Murcia.

A trade body rewarding its own trade

The remaining six sit around the restaurant, not inside it. Communication: Tapas Magazine. Institution: Benidorm city council. Supplier: the wine and drinks group J. García Carrión. Association work: Cristina Ruiz Sagarduy, manager of the Salamanca hospitality employers' association. Training: Escuela Felipe VI in Segovia. And a customer award, for the comedian and actor Carlos Latre.

Read as a list, it shows a trade body recognising its own ecosystem: members, a supplier, a town hall, the manager of a member association and a customer. Two of the 18 prizes go to the host city. The announcement does not say how many candidacies were submitted or who sat on the jury.

Front of house only became a category in the 17th edition. Staffing is the sector's other headline this autumn: Spain's hospitality hiring forecast tops all sectors.

The trophies change hands in Segovia on 18 November.
