Vietnam Restaurant Week opens its 2026 dining period on September 18, with more than 100 restaurants across Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City offering fixed-price lunch and dinner menus through October 18.

Vietnam Restaurant Week menu tiers

Organizer DiningCity opened reservations on Thursday, September 17, at 10:00 a.m. through restaurantweek.vn and the DiningCity app. The busiest tables filled within minutes of booking opening, according to the organizer.

A hundred fixed menus turn a marketing push into a citywide price list.

Menus run in three price bands. Category A costs 295,000 dong for lunch and 650,000 dong for dinner. Category B runs 195,000 and 350,000 dong. Category C is 150,000 and 195,000 dong. A separate Elite tier covers the highest-end kitchens at prices each restaurant sets itself.

New arrivals in the lineup include Fluid Saigon, Coucou and The Albion by Kirk Westaway, the modern British restaurant on the top floor of Hotel des Arts Saigon. They sit alongside established names such as NÔM Cultural Dining, Sâm Saigon, DẠ DINING, Stoker Grill, CoCo Dining, P'Ti Saigon, Etēsia, La Table Hanoia, Vien Dining and MAU, spread across both host cities.

Westaway also runs the two-Michelin-starred Jaan in Singapore. He opened The Albion in Ho Chi Minh City in late 2024, and the restaurant carries a "Selected" listing in the Michelin Guide Vietnam, one rung below a star.

"The best deals include limited Michelin restaurants at prices you won't see again, weekend tables that book out in minutes, or special deals capped at a handful of seats per night," DiningCity said in its announcement of Vietnam Restaurant Week 2026.

Why the timing matters this year

The event lands three months after the Michelin Guide Vietnam ceremony in June, which awarded 11 One Star restaurants across Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang, the country's first double-digit total. NÔM chef Chris Fong received the guide's Opening of the Year award for his Ho Chi Minh City dining room.

That momentum gives Vietnam Restaurant Week more starred and near-starred venues to sell than in earlier editions. Restaurants with the strongest bookings during the main period get a second run in a Winners' Edition from October 23 to November 15, giving diners another shot at menus that sold out the first time. The same fixed-price format is running elsewhere too, including a spring edition of Restaurant Week South Africa.

A hundred set menus is not subtle marketing. It does, at least, put a fixed number on what a good table in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City costs this autumn.
