Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill closes for good on 14 September, ending the chef's 29-year run at Disney Springs after two earlier concepts on the same site already shut down.

The final day of service is 13 September, with brunch from 10am to 3pm and dinner from 3:05pm to 10pm. The menu has run to pizzas, pastas, salmon, meatloaf and chicken schnitzel, closer to an American bar-and-grill card than the fine-dining register Puck built his name on elsewhere. The 250-seat dining room sits in the Town Center section of Disney Springs and has served California-inspired food with Mediterranean touches since it took over the space, alongside a list of handcrafted cocktails.

Puck first opened at the site, then known as Downtown Disney, in 1997. Wolfgang Puck Grand Café closed in 2017; Bar & Grill took over the space the following year as its successor. Wolfgang Puck Express, a separate quick-service outpost, closed in 2020.

Twenty-nine years, three concepts, and now Disney Springs has no Wolfgang Puck sign left standing.

Three closures, one name

The retreat has played out over eight years and three separate concepts, longer than most theme-park restaurant leases run. No replacement tenant has been announced for the space Bar & Grill leaves behind. News of the closure first surfaced in trade coverage in late August, days before Disney confirmed the September date, in keeping with how quietly the earlier Grand Café and Express closures were handled.

It lands in a season of chain retrenchment across American casual dining, alongside closures such as O'Charley's shutting its company-run restaurants after 55 years.

What replaces it

Disney Springs has leaned in recent years toward rotating newer culinary brands rather than renewing long-standing ones, though Disney has not said what comes next for the Bar & Grill site.

Whatever opens there next will be the first restaurant at Disney Springs since 1997 without Wolfgang Puck's name above the door. Fans hoping for one last visit have until dinner service ends at 10pm on 13 September to book a table before it closes for good.
