Michelin Guide Switzerland 2026: every star, the full list
Twin chefs at The Chedi Andermatt take Switzerland's fifth three-star rating. Here are all 22 two-star kitchens, the seven new one-stars, the four lost two-stars and the special awards.

The Michelin Guide Switzerland 2026 has five three-star restaurants after The Japanese Restaurant at The Chedi Andermatt, run by twin brothers Dominik Sato and Fabio Toffolon, rose from two stars to three on 2 November. The selection counts 133 starred restaurants: five with three stars, 22 with two and 106 with one, seven of them new.
Michelin presented the selection at the Konzerthalle in Andermatt, in the canton of Uri, the first ceremony held in partnership with Andermatt Swiss Alps; earlier editions took place at the EHL hotel school in Lausanne, GaultMillau reported. The four existing three-star kitchens and all 22 two-star restaurants kept their rating, and no restaurant was promoted to two stars. The guide also lists 92 Bib Gourmand addresses, 11 of them added a week before the ceremony.
Below are the full three-star and two-star lists as published by Michelin, every new star and the special awards. Two of the two-star kitchens have featured recently on AMUSE.: Magdalena, where Dominik Hartmann became GaultMillau's chef of the year, and La Brezza in Arosa, whose chef Marco Campanella is moving to the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz.
A village in Uri now holds stars in all three Michelin categories at once.

The Japanese Restaurant, Andermatt: the new three stars
The restaurant sits inside The Chedi Andermatt, at Gotthardstrasse 4. Dominik Sato and Fabio Toffolon have shared the kitchen as co-chefs for three years, and Michelin describes their cooking as Japanese influences combined with classic techniques. Yoshiko Sato, Dominik's wife, makes the desserts and petits fours. The restaurant won its first star in 2017 and its second in 2023.
Diners choose an omakase of five or six courses or an eight-course menu with two signature dishes, and there is a vegetarian version and an à la carte. Michelin places it in its top price band, four symbols out of four, with dinner from Wednesday to Sunday. The chefs told GaultMillau they cut the room from 17 to 12 tables and still raised turnover. "A great honour, a great moment," Sato said. Bookings go directly through the restaurant.
Cheval Blanc by Peter Knogl, Basel
Peter Knogl's restaurant in the Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois, on the bank of the Rhine, keeps its three stars. It remains the only three-star restaurant in a Swiss city: the other four sit in a village, a spa resort, a castle and a suburb of Lausanne.
Schloss Schauenstein, Fürstenau
Andreas Caminada's restaurant in a castle in Fürstenau, in Graubünden, keeps three stars, with Michelin crediting the kitchen to Caminada and Marcel Skibba. His IGNIV restaurants in Zurich and Andermatt both hold two stars in the same selection.
Restaurant de l'Hôtel de Ville, Crissier
Franck Giovannini keeps three stars at the house outside Lausanne whose reputation Frédy Girardet built. It is the only three-star restaurant in French-speaking Switzerland.
Sven Wassmer Memories, Bad Ragaz
Sven Wassmer's restaurant at the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz keeps three stars in the 2026 selection, but the resort has ended its partnership with Wassmer and Memories is due to close in February. Unless another kitchen is promoted, next year's guide could again count four.

Four restaurants leave the two-star tier
Four restaurants that held two stars a year ago are not among the 22: Stucki by Tanja Grandits in Basel, IGNIV by Andreas Caminada in Bad Ragaz, La Brezza in Ascona and Skin's in Lenzburg, as 20 Minuten reported. Michelin's announcement does not explain the changes. With The Japanese Restaurant moving up, the two-star tier shrinks from 27 to 22.
MYLE, Bern
Markus Arnold moved his whole team from the Steinhalle, where he ran the gourmet concept, into a former 1970s cinema near Bern station, at Bubenbergplatz 5A, and won a star in the first selection. He keeps his "Cuisine Voyage", a set menu dedicated each quarter to a different world city, starting with São Paulo. Michelin also named MYLE its Opening of the Year. It sits in the top price band and opens Wednesday to Saturday.
Bärenstobe, Gonten
Michael Gollenz, who previously earned a star at the Alfred Keller restaurant on the Croatian island of Lošinj, now holds one in Gonten, in Appenzell Innerrhoden. The village also gained a new Bib Gourmand this year, Löwenstobe.
CAAA by Pietro Catalano, Lucerne
Pietro Catalano is self-taught: he trained as a car mechanic and studied classical trumpet at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences, according to 20 Minuten. His restaurant at Haldenstrasse 19 combines Swiss and Calabrian influences, and Michelin places it in its top price band.
Ristorante con enoteca Origini, Morbio Inferiore
Guglielmo Curcio's restaurant at Via Ghitello 3, in Ticino, takes a star and Curcio wins Michelin's Young Chef Award. The guide classes the cooking as contemporary Italian and puts it in its second price band, the most affordable of this year's new stars. The wine list draws only on Ticino producers.
Schlüssel, Oberwil
Tanja Grandits, known for Stucki in Basel, devised the concept at Hauptstrasse 41 in Oberwil, in Basel-Landschaft, where Marten Harder runs the kitchen. Michelin describes menus of three to five courses, in regular and vegetarian versions, an à la carte and a mostly Swiss wine list, in its third price band.
ad lib, Zermatt
Dietmar and Nicole Sawyere left the Gasthaus zum Kreuz in Dallenwil and in December 2025 opened ad lib inside the Hotel Welschen, at Wiestistrasse 44 in Zermatt. It wins a star in its first selection, and Nicole Sawyere takes Michelin's Service Award. Top price band.
rémy, Zurich
Simon Müller serves a surprise menu of four to six courses at Kalkbreitestrasse 33, in a listed post-war building. The name comes from Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, where the chef's grandfather made wine, Michelin notes. Third price band; it is Zurich's only new star this year.
Special awards of the 2026 selection

Andermatt now has stars in every category
The host village leaves the ceremony with four starred restaurants across all three categories: The Japanese Restaurant with three stars, IGNIV by Andreas Caminada with two, and two one-star restaurants up on the Gütsch, GÜTSCH by Markus Neff and The Japanese at Gütsch.

How we chose
This list follows the selection Michelin published on 2 November 2026 and the two-star and three-star listings on guide.michelin.com, checked on 3 November 2026, with chefs' details from GaultMillau, 20 Minuten and Michelin's restaurant pages. Michelin announced 106 one-star restaurants, while its online selection showed 105 on 3 November, so we give the seven new one-star restaurants in full rather than the whole one-star roster, which is on the Michelin site.
Prices are given as Michelin's price bands, from one to four symbols, because most of these restaurants do not publish menu prices. We will update this list if Michelin changes its selection.
