50 Best 51-100 list: Europe leads, Berlin places three
Nine new entries, five of them in Asia, and Mexico with five of six North American places: the extended ranking lands two weeks before the Lima ceremony.

The 50 Best 51-100 list for 2026, published on 21 October, gives Europe 20 of the 50 places and Asia 17, two weeks before the top 50 is revealed in Lima on 4 November. Nine restaurants enter for the first time; only one of them is in Latin America.
The list comes from The 50, the organisation formerly known as 50 Best, and is built from the votes of more than 1,100 chefs, food writers and other specialists. Its 50 restaurants sit in 36 cities on six continents. The ceremony at the Teatro Municipal de Lima is the first in Peru, as we reported when the World's 50 Best moved to Lima.
Who enters the 50 Best 51-100 list
A place between 51 and 100 is a waiting room, not a consolation prize.
Asia supplies five of the nine newcomers: Ling Long in Shanghai at No.53, Seroja in Singapore at No.64, Eatanic Garden in Seoul at No.72, Baan Tepa in Bangkok at No.90 and Lamdre in Beijing at No.92. FZN in Dubai (No.88) and Khufu's in Giza (No.97) are the two Middle Eastern debuts. Nelita in São Paulo, at No.54, is the only new South American name.
Mexico holds five of the six North American places: Alcalde in Guadalajara (No.55), Huniik in Mérida (No.79), Arca in Tulum (No.87), Rosetta in Mexico City (No.96) and Fauna in Valle de Guadalupe (No.99), which returns to the list. SingleThread in Healdsburg, California, is the sixth, at No.93.
Berlin places three, Paris two
Berlin has Nobelhart & Schmutzig (No.76), Coda (No.82) and Tim Raue (No.85). Paris has Arpège (No.67) and Septime (No.81), with Le Doyenné in Saint-Vrain at No.84. Spain counts Cocina Hermanos Torres in Barcelona (No.69), Txispa in Atxondo (No.80) and Aponiente in El Puerto de Santa María, which closes the list at No.100.
Against the 2025 list, several names slide. Tim Raue falls from No.58 to No.85, Arca from No.67 to No.87 and Aponiente from No.84 to No.100. Cape Town goes the other way: Fyn climbs from No.82 to No.65 and Salsify at the Roundhouse from No.88 to No.71.
Besides Nelita, South America's places go to a returning restaurant in São Paulo and one in Cusco; no Lima address appears between 51 and 100. Lima's four names on the 2025 top 50 were Maido, Kjolle, Mérito and Mayta, and Maido will not compete again: as last year's winner it joins the Best of the Best group.
The 1-50 ranking will be streamed from Lima at 20:00 local time on 4 November. Before then, start with what to eat in Lima. For the restaurants named today, 51 to 100 is a waiting room rather than a prize: Alcalde, No.51 last year, is now No.55.
