Sun Kim brings a three-night Bangkok takeover to TENKO
The two-Michelin-starred chef behind Meta in Singapore cooks an eight-course omakase at TENKO Bangkok from 29 to 31 October, priced at 9,500 baht a head.

Sun Kim's Bangkok takeover lands at TENKO Omakase for three nights only, from 29 to 31 October, an eight-course dinner built around the Korean-inflected cooking that earned his Singapore restaurant Meta two Michelin stars.
Kim built his name at Meta, a fixture on Asia's 50 Best Restaurants list, folding Korean flavours and childhood memory into contemporary tasting menus rather than running a straight Korean or Japanese kitchen. The Bangkok dates put him behind someone else's counter for three nights, cooking a fixed menu rather than Meta's usual rotating one.
TENKO Omakase sits inside the Pullman Bangkok King Power hotel, a counter-style room built for Japanese omakase service. Handing that counter to a Korean chef for a long weekend is itself the pitch: Kim's cooking has always borrowed technique freely across both kitchens, and a Japanese room gives him a different set of tools to do it with.
Handing a Japanese counter to a Korean chef for three nights is the whole idea, not a footnote to it.
Dinner runs eight courses at 9,500 baht per person before drinks, served across two seatings each night, at 17:30 and 20:00. Early-bird pricing applies to bookings made before 23 October, after which the standard rate takes over.
Bangkok already crowded with talent
The takeover lands in a city that does not lack for fine dining of its own, fresh off the World Gourmet Festival's 26th edition. Bangkok placed nine restaurants on the 2026 Asia's 50 Best list, more than any other city on the ranking, Gaggan among them at number three. A visiting chef here is competing with a deep bench rather than filling a gap, and with the street-food counters covered in our own guide to what to eat in Bangkok.
Three nights, no second date announced
Reservations run through TENKO and the hotel's own booking channels. Neither side has said whether the takeover returns, or whether demand over the three nights will decide that. For now it is a fixed window: three dinners, two seatings each, and nothing promised beyond 31 October.
